Communication and the Throat Chakra

The throat chakra, also known as the fifth chakra, has its energy center located at the base of the throat and neck region.  The color of this chakra is sky blue.  The throat chakra allows one the ability to speak and communicate effectively.  Its purpose is to take responsibility for one’s own needs. The throat chakra governs the throat, thyroid, trachea, neck vertebrae, mouth, teeth, gums, esophagus, parathyroid, hypothalamus, ears and shoulders.  The healthfulness of the throat chakra is vital for how openly and honestly one can express himself or herself in receiving and assimilating information by speaking and knowing only truth.

If one’s throat chakra is in balance one will have no problem expressing oneself in the world.  One will be creative, helpful and may be good at offering people advice when asked for advice.  When this chakra is in balance one knows what he or she wants out of life and is not afraid to ask for help from others.  What one may ask for comes easily with little or no effort because having faith in one’s self and faith in the process works.  One is not afraid to express one’s weaknesses and people do respect this when one can speak his or her truth.

The physical dysfunctions of an unbalanced Throat Chakra are:

  1. Sore throat
  2. Mouth ulcers
  3. Swollen glands
  4. Laryngitis
  5. Gum, tooth problems, TMJ and grinding of the teeth
  6. Thyroid dysfunctions
  7. Voice problems
  8. Scoliosis
  9. Neck pain and headaches
  10. Ear infections

The mental and emotional issues of an unbalanced Throat Chakra are:

  1. Lacking of creating, not being able to create for oneself
  2. Personal Expression, not able to express how one feels about something
  3. Addictions of food, drink, smoking and drugs
  4. Lacking decision making, not able to make good decisions for self, constantly changing one’s mind
  5. Lacking choices, not able to make and see that there  are choices for one’s self, feeling there is no choice at all and feeling stuck
  6. Criticism of self and others
  7. Not having faith in self or others
  8. Lack of authority, does not want to hear or be told what to do
  9. Speaking untruths, telling and believing in lies
  10. Fear of public speaking
  11. Manipulative
  12. Verbally abusive

How to have a balanced healthy Throat Chakra:

  1. Expressing oneself through chanting, singing, writing, painting, drawing, public speaking,  being passionate about  speaking out for causes.
  2. Simple yoga poses, gentle neck rolls side to side, relaxing the jaw, giving the back of the neck a gentle massage.
  3. Saying daily mantras or affirmations out loud for example, “I speak up for myself easily, I express myself freely and joyously” (examples from Louise Hays).
  4. Using a journal to write in daily of what you are  grateful for
  5. Listening to meditations for healing of the throat chakra
  6. Using essential oils of sandalwood, lavender, rose and neroli.  A few drops can be placed on a cloth and placed on the back on the neck or head for relief of headaches or to breath in for the sinuses.
  7. Having  blue colored crystals with you or placed under your pillow for example: lapis lazuli, blue lace agate, sodalite, aquamarine, blue kyanite, blue apatite, blue fluorite, and  Larimer to name a few.
  8. Eating foods like sea plants that are rich in iodine which are good for the thyroid.  Soups and juices are soothing and are a good source of fluids, as these lubricate the throat.  Fresh fruit as in blueberries and other berries are a good source of vitamin C and other anti-oxidants which  helps to keep the throat area in good health.
  9. Drinking 8 glasses of water each day will keep the throat hydrated so you are able to speak, will keep your sinuses clear, and will prevent mouth dryness.
  10. Wearing blue colored clothing can also open one’s chakra and can help one feel in good health, and aids in speaking in public

When the throat chakra is balanced, one not only feels it, but there are visible signs.  One will have more confidence and find oneself to be a more effective communicator.  Also, one may find that dreams are more vivid and dream recall is enhanced.  One may be much more sensitive to the energies of others as well as energies in the environment. The world is a much better place to live and function in when one’s throat chakra is healthy and in balance.

February's Musings

Love and the Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra is our “fourth chakra” and is located at the sternum. This chakra is also known as the Anahata or Green Chakra.  The heart chakra is all about deep unconditional love for self and for others.  In order to have a well-balanced heart chakra, forgiveness and compassion are essential to balance the energy since this is the gateway to our chakras.  When the heart chakra is blocked then usually the lower chakras are blocked too.

When you open your heart and feel the love for yourself then you are able to fully love another.  When you can first forgive yourself then you are able to forgive another.  When you feel the beauty and love in yourself this shines your light and you radiate love.  This will attract others to you and you see the beauty and love in them as well.

If you are not able to love or forgive yourself then you block yourself from receiving love and forgiveness from others.  This blocked energy can cause serious health conditions for your heart and lungs.  Many times this can also cause other health issues for your lower body since the energy is blocked at your heart chakra and this energy cannot move to your lower body.  You will notice that many of the blocked heart chakra signs are similar to the blocked energy of the Solar Plexus and Sacral Chakra.

Signs of blocked or weak Heart Chakras are:

  1. Loneliness
  2. Lack of self Esteem
  3. Paranoia
  4. Mistrust
  5. Not able to forgive
  6. Selfishness
  7. Anxiety
  8.  Fear of letting go
  9. Heart problems

Signs of an over-active Heart Chakra are:

  1. Co-dependency
  2.  Lack of discretion
  3.  Control issues
  4. Overly trusting
  5. Reckless decision making
  6. Over promising and not able to keep those promises
  7. Breathing issues

You can say affirmations to bring that balanced energy of love and compassion into your heart for love of self and love for others.  A list of affirmations for you to say out loud is:

  1. I completely love and accept myself
  2. I am perfect just as I am
  3. I love who I am
  4. I have love for me and I have love for you
  5. My heart is open to love
  6.  Love is everywhere
  7. I honor myself, I respect myself, I love myself
  8.  I am a happy and loving person and every action I take today is for me and for others.

In order to have a healthy and balanced heart you may ask Holistic Therapists use various healing treatments on your body, for instance, Reiki.  Reiki is a non-touch type of energy healing and Crystal Therapy which is the placing of crystals on the body for energy healing and balancing.

Pink and green crystals work very well on the heart chakra. You may also carry these crystals with you in a small pouch to continue your healing. These crystals are:

  1. Green crystals: green aventurine, emerald, malachite, moss agate, green fluorite, green jade, green calcite  and peridot
  2. Pink crystals:  Rose quartz, pink rhodochrosite, rhodonite, pink tourmaline, pink calcite

Eating green foods as in leafy greens or dark green vegetables and fruit are also good for a balanced and healthy heart.  Some of these foods are:

  1. Lettuce, spinach, kale and beet tops
  2. Green peppers, green beans, green squashes, green apples, kiwi, green melons, and green grapes

Maintaining a balanced and healthy heart is essential for your quality of life. Forgiveness, compassion and unconditional love are essential for love of self and for love of others.  Having happy and healthy loving relationships radiate the energy through you and around you and this attracts like-minded people towards you!

January's Musings

Stress and the Solar Plexus

The Solar Plexus, which is located between the bottom of the sternum and above the navel, is our “third chakra”. The solar Plexus is the center of our energy system and is half-way between our lower and higher chakras.   It is very much like the sun which is the center of  energy in our solar system. This chakra’s color is yellow.

What is stress?  According to the dictionary, “stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.”  What causes stress? Many different things can cause stress, from physical (such as fear of something dangerous), to emotional (such as worry over your family or job.)   Identifying what may be causing you stress is often the first step in learning how to better deal with it.

When we have too much stress in our life our body will react negatively.  You may notice that your solar plexus right above your naval will have a “knot” sensation.  You can actually feel the knot in that area.

Having constant stress in one’s life can bring on health issues since the stress blocks the flow of good energy between your lower and higher chakras.  Some of the effects of stress are:

  • Headaches and dizziness
  • Panic attacks
  • Blurred vision
  • High blood pressure
  • Susceptibility to infections
  • Over-breathing as in asthma
  • Excessive sugar in the blood
  • Backaches
  • Nervous rashes and allergies
  • Excessive sweating
  • Aching neck muscles
  • Over-use of drugs and alcohol

Some major stresses can be caused by giving our energy to others and not being in control of our own life.  Someone else controls us like we are their puppet.  Others may say “do this; do that; don’t do this; don’t do that; you are not good enough; you cannot do this.”  How does this make you feel when you hear those strong statements?   Does your stomach clinch up and you feel that knot?  When you hear these types of statements each day it can make you tense up which blocks the natural flow of energy in your body which then can cause you major health issues.

Here are some ways to alleviate the stress in your life and allow a good natural flow of energy:

  • Change your environment by getting away from the issues or people causing you stress
  • Eat healthy foods and drink healthy liquids
  • Eat yellow colored fruits and vegetables, for example yellow squashes, yellow apples, yellow onions, bananas, lemons.
  • Wear yellow colored clothing
  • Use yellow crystals, for example yellow topaz, yellow citrine, yellow labradorite, yellow jasper, yellow quartz. These can be carried or placed under your pillow.
  • Use essential oils, for example Clary sage, Juniper, and Geranium.  These can be added to your bath water or small drops can be placed on your solar plexus.
  • Have a foot bath
  • Do meditation with deep breathing and listening to soft playing music
  • Walking, dancing or other types of moving exercises that gets your heart rate up
  • Laugh and play, as the more you can laugh and play the healthier you will be
  • Take up a hobby/do what you like to do

A balanced Solar Plexus would be evidenced by:

  • Confidence and Leadership with a can-do attitude
  • The ability to see the vision of 'us' and an understanding of what action is required for the greater good instead of a ME attitude
  • Being able to turn a  dream into a reality
  • An awareness of the effects of one’s actions on other people
  • Taking responsibility for one’s actions
  • Integrity; you say what you do; you walk your talk

When your solar plexus is in balance you will feel good energy coursing through your body, you feel strong and alive, you have the stamina to get the job done and you also have confidence, self-respect as well as respect for others. You enjoy life and you enjoy others around you.  No one is controlling you.  The power remains inside of you.

December's Musings

Destructive Behavior and the Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra is our “second chakra” and is located just below the navel. This chakra color is orange and its element is water.  It is associated primarily with emotional behavior and is often referred to as the center of emotions. This chakra is also associated with a woman's reproductive function.

When the second chakra is blocked, energy cannot flow in a natural manner and this causes an unbalanced situation.  An unbalanced second chakra can cause both physical and emotional distress if not corrected soon.  This chakra can become either over-active or under-active with each leading to different symptoms.  An over-active second chakra can cause emotional overreactions, obsessive attachment to people or objects, excessive neediness in relationships, co-dependency, muscle tension, and abdominal cramps.  An under-active second chakra can cause a paranoia for lack of happiness and pleasure,  self-sabotage, low libido, lack of creativity, depression, pessimism, irregular menstrual cycle, and urinary infections.    Unfortunately, family dynamics are often a source of disturbances, especially with regards to the sacral chakra.

Some of the destructive emotional behaviors are envy, jealousy, rage, and anger.  These excessive emotional reactions are detrimental to our feeling of well-being and are dis-empowering.   Another negative emotional behavior is co-dependent behavior.  The needy person can become very tiresome to and very demanding of a loved one without realizing that this is an unbalance of energy.

Being consumed by fantasies about life’s pleasures instead of enjoying them is another destructive behavior.  For instance, you may lose yourself in sexual fantasies rather than connecting with an actual or potential partner, or you may be obsessed with connecting sensually or sexually with every attractive person who crosses your path.  Or shaming yourself due to strict morals, contradictory values, or a traumatic experience with sex can repress sexuality and lead to serious imbalances in the second chakra.  From the physical health perspective, healing the second chakra can also help prevent more serious problems such as infertility, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, prostate and testicular diseases, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts.

Healing the second chakra therefore consists of being more mindful of one’s thoughts and intentions, as well as being more aware of the types of emotions arising at specific times and the reasons for them.  Understanding our emotions is the first step to the healing and balancing of the second chakra.  Here are a few suggestions for healing and balancing the second chakra:

  • Meditating, listening to music, and taking deep cleansing breaths can help bring about calmness to your body and mind.
  • Using chakra healing crystals such as orange colored stone to promote calmness and good health.  Some examples of these stones are carnelian, orange calcite, tangerine quartz, cinnabar, and orange jasper.
  • Eating orange-colored organic foods such as orange melons, orange peppers, orange citrus, orange tomatoes, pumpkin, butternut squash, and acorn squash, plus cooking with cinnamon.
  • Using essential oils.  Some examples are: Sandalwood, patchouli, orange and rose oil. Essential oils can be used along with the healing crystals and also in meditation by placing a few drops on a candle before it is lighted.
  • Yoga or slow and relaxed exercise will help move the energy through the body. A slow swaying rhythmic dance such as a hula dance can also help.
  • Drinking enough water daily.  This is because the second chakra’s element is water.  Drinking 8 glasses of water each day refreshes the body and rids the body of toxins.

The energy of the second chakra is fluid and cool.  When this chakra is in balance it can be envisioned as a gently moving stream flowing throughout the body.  This chakra feeds vital energy into the other chakras.   Since in times of stress we draw emotional strength from this chakra, it is important to keep this chakra healthy and balanced.  If you find yourself or a loved one having bouts of depression, co-dependency or rage there are health care professionals that can and should help you with this.  Remember you do not have to do this alone.   Keeping your second chakra in balance can enhance the healing along with the advice and treatment you are receiving from your health care professional.

November's Musings

Fear and the Root Chakra

Have you ever noticed yourself having great fear when you are asked to do something that takes you out of your comfort zone into the unknown?  Is the unknown the outer limits of your capabilities? Are you only secure in knowing your capabilities and not venturing beyond? These are questions that I have asked myself and have asked my angels for clarification about.  I like having conversations with my angels as they have a great sense of humor as well as incredible insight.  They always have my back!

These fear and insecurity factors have to do with your First Chakra, also known as the Root Chakra or Base Chakra, and which is located at the base of your spine.  When your root chakra is out of balance you may experience fear, insecurity, anxiety, vulnerability, a sense of not wanting to let your guard down, and not wanting to go and do something different.  You may have a sensation of sweating and clammy hands and feet.  You may also feel flighty and off-beat, not able to focus on your goals, spinning your wheels, and not able to get anything accomplished.

When your Root is “closed” your energy is blocked which keeps the energy from traveling from your root up to your higher chakras and from the higher chakras traveling downward to the ground.  Health wise ,the “not being able to do anything” is because of that FEAR factor.  But just wanting to stay in bed with no desire to do anything may also cause health issues. You may have pain in your lower back, legs, feet, and your bowels may not function healthily.  Your sexual ability may be dysfunctional causing great stress for you. These are all symptoms of a closed or blocked Root Chakra.

A perfectly balanced Root chakra is energy being able to move through your body without any blockages, from the top of your crown to the bottom of your feet.  Clearing, balancing, and opening your first chakra can help you get your “mojo” back instead of feeling like you're floating away or losing your grip.  Being in balance can help you relax, feel calmer and more secure, and you can let go of those nagging fears and insecurities.  It can help you gain the feeling that you truly are important in this world, and that you do have a purpose here.  Being in balance can help you stay positive about venturing out and doing something different and feeling at ease about doing it.

You are probably asking right now, Ok how do I get my Root Chakra healthy again?  Here are some ways to help the energy flow through out your body.

  1. Walking barefoot outside on the grass, dirt or on flat rocks will ground you to earth and will help you focus on your goals.
  2. Eating red vegetables, red fruit (red is the color for the root chakra), and root vegetables will help ground your body.  Again being grounded helps you stay focused to meet your goals.
  3. Wearing and carrying red, brown or black crystals will help with grounding the body as well as protecting you from any negative energy that you may have around you.  This negative energy promotes that fear and these crystals help with blocking that fear.  Red Jasper, Black Tourmaline, Hematite, Garnet, and Brown Tigers Eye are some common crystals for the Root Chakra.
  4. Meditating or listening to soft music that is peaceful and calming to you can help you relax. Take a few deep breaths and slowly let the air out will also relax you.
  5. Saying daily affirmations for example, “ I am perfectly safe, I am loved, I am happy and calm, I am loving who I am, I am enjoying my life, I am free to be me, I am protected by the Divine, I am enjoying adventures and seeing what is beyond my imagination. Saying affirmations daily can help you be at peace with YOU.
  6. Having balance in your life by creating order in your space at work or in your home by cleaning up the clutter around you.  Clutter can cause chaos and disorganization in your space and can throw you off your game.
  7. Being creative as in painting, drawing, crafting, gardening, singing and dancing can also help with letting go of fear and insecurities.

These are some ideas for you to get your “mojo” back and have a healthy and balanced Root chakra. This does not take the place of any doctor’s advice nor any medical treatment you may be receiving for your good health.  Using Crystals, listening to angel messages, eating healthy foods, grounding and taking care of your self goes hand in hand with your doctor’s prescribed advice, all for a healthier YOU.

October's Musings

When I first started my spiritual awakening I listened to many on- line free seminar discussions about Spiritual information.  There was someone always mentioning Twin Flames, Twin Souls and Soul Mates.  I was very curious and wanted to know more about this concept.  My inner voice would ask if this a good thing for me or not. The more I read and heard about twin flames and soul mates the more confused I became. I finally came to the conclusion, why should I worry about this? I am with whom I love so why give our marriage a label? Does this make sense? Does anybody else feel this way? Am I way off base here? Is this judgmental to say?

When my husband and I met 44 years ago we looked into each other’s eyes and we felt a “familiarity, a knowing” that we have been together before. At this time we were 19 and 20 years so being “soul mates” was the last thing on our young minds. We continued dating and enjoying each other and we knew in our hearts that we were meant to be partners so we married a year later. Has our marriage always consisted of rose petals and sparkling champagne?  No, sometimes it is more like thorns and anti-acid.  But many times we have had those rose petals and sparkling champagne celebrations and still do! Is our relationship perfect? Yes and No, as both of us in our marriage partnership have that “ego” thing getting in our way but we also have the love to smooth it over! One thing I will say is that we always communicate with each other no matter what!  Maybe we do not always want to “hear it” from each other but communication has always been important in our marriage, and it has provided the basis for love, trust and honesty.

When I first heard the phrase “twin flame” I thought it was something to do with a double flame in a candle which to me is magical like finding a double yolk in an egg.  I honestly had never heard about twin flames.  After reading a few blogs about twin flames and soul mates I was kind of getting the “picture” of twins and soul mates. It bothered me though because I saw people around me really concerned about possibly leaving their partner and stating, “I am not with my twin flame in this lifetime yet so I had better go find him or her.” I too thought this for a second and got on the band wagon about it, meditated on it and felt that this is not for me. I am already with whom I desire to be with, my loving husband and I feel very blessed that I am. People seemed so sad and caught up in the labeling of twin flame, twin souls and soul mates that I personally felt that this was not right as they were forgetting their hearts as in, LOVE.

I feel there is way too much drama over the “Twin Flame” idea and its emphasis to be with ones “twin flame” in this life time. I ask the question WHY? Why is this so important now in this lifetime?  I am really curious. I have seen marriages and relationships destroyed over the twin flame concept although maybe these marriages or relationships were already floundering? Is the thought of finding one’s twin in this life time and being together infectious and exciting? I can understand the excitement of finding one’s twin flame from the many blogs that have been written on the subject, for example “a love that is unconditional and transcends the ego.” This is a great statement; wow, having no ego, as in leaving the ego behind? Is this for real?

I may be wrong or right about my “musings” on the twin flame and soul mate idea.  I mean no disrespect to anyone who is with their twin flame or soul mate, or who is seeking their mate.  I am happy for you if you are.  What I personally feel and know is that having a loving relationship with a person is of one heart and two egos! To me it means this:  Two people who are their own persons share their hearts as ONE heart beating together in a loving partnership.

Only you can decide for yourself what you truly desire for you and your loved one, whether the label of twin flame or soul mate or just being in the flow of love!  As I write this, a song keeps playing in my mind. The song that the angels have given me is by Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills and Nash fame, “Love the One You’re With.”

September's Musings

I have often wondered what the difference between a vision and a dream is. I believe I have finally figured this out.  I have dreams almost every night and when the full moon is present the dreams appear more intense and longer. When the moon is a “dark” moon I do not even remember or feel I had dreams, even though I did actually dream. Some dreams we remember and others we may not recall. I used to worry that to dream was super important and that I must remember them or else!  Then I realized why worry, either we remember our dreams and write them down or we choose not to remember. Have you noticed that the more you worry about something the more you block yourself? Each night I say to my guardian dream angels, “May I please have pleasant dreams tonight and recall them too, thanks angels!” With their help I can recall most of my pleasant dreams.

Have you ever had this experience? During the daytime maybe you are quiet or doing a task when a vision flashes in your mind’s eye: is this a daydream or a vision? My feeling is that this is a vision meant for me to know something, remember, and to pay attention to.

One day when my two oldest daughters were quite young I had a very vivid vision. I was sitting in my chair deciding what to make for dinner when the vision just came into my mind’s eye. The vision was this: I was walking in our neighborhood with my younger daughter in the stroller.  My older daughter was walking ahead of me as she was too independent to hold my hand. As she was running ahead of me to the corner, an orange car filled with teen agers was racing down the street and ready to turn the corner. Everything turned into slow motion. I screamed my daughter’s name and told her to stop and I started running myself. The car was turning so fast that it jumped up onto the side walk where my daughter stood! The vision stopped and my mind’s eye went black. I looked at the clock and only 1 minute had passed but to me it seemed so much longer. I was vividly shaken with goosebumps galore so I ran and checked on my girls and they were playing happily with puzzles. I then went to prepare the dinner.  All thoughts on this immediately left my mind.

A few days later I had completely forgot about this vision.  My daughters and I decided to take a walk through the neighborhood. We were laughing and my older daughter tried to run ahead of me but I heard that car before I saw it and I remembered that vision! I yanked my daughter’s hand and held on so tightly she cried out. The orange car was racing down the street and took the corner so fast it ran over that curb where my daughter could have been standing! I thanked our guardian angels for this “pre-vision”, knowing that this protected my daughter from harm. This was my first experience of the difference between dreams and visions.

August's Musing

One day I came to the realization that thoughts and feelings can really throw us off our “game.”  What is our game plan for ourselves? What are our goals? What is our journey to who we are? Do we ever really know who we are? Do we ever really find what our purpose in life is? Have you ever asked yourself these questions and really listened to your answers?

Recently, my mother in law passed away and this was a really challenging and sad time for all of us in the family. She was always a very independent person who loved people and loved her life! When she had her heart attack this past spring she told me that this totally ended her life. A total change of what she was used to, now to be what she was not willing to be. She then passed rather quickly.

This opened up some emotions in me that I had not realized were inside of “me”. I know many spiritual people who give webinars and write in their blogs state that we are all composed of light and dark. My dark reared its ugly head after she passed. I had anger and resentment towards her and some of my husband’s family.  At first I did not realize why I was so angry and then I would burst into tears for no reason. Why should this affect me so strongly?

I was concerned about my negative thoughts and bouts of crying as this is not who I am I kept telling myself. Then I would hear that loving soft voice inside of me saying, “Dear one you are this and much more, relax dear one and just let it go.”  I meditated, I prayed, I said affirmations and still this resentment was lingering. I even went back to “basics” and listened to some webinars of Doreen Virtue and Jo Dunning, two women who I really admire and feel have been my mentors for spiritual guidance. Then I found an amazing book and CD, a  Shamanic drumming CD by Jill Kuykendall, RPT and her husband, Hank Wesselman, Ph.D., both Shamans. The CD is about spirit medicine and Jill and Hank both wrote the book, Spirit Medicine and the CD accompanies each book. The book is about soul retrieval and enhancing one’s healing.

While I listened to the drumming and rattling, I could feel that negative stuff just lifting and I felt a lightness that I had not felt before. The anger and resentment was leaving my body and in its place I was being filled with love and joy. I had stated my intention about wanting to be healed from this anger, and during this 60 minute drumming many things came up for my viewing that were hidden inside of me. I had put these “things” away for my own protection. I was able to look at myself and see that these emotions are a part of my dark self and I was better able to see my light self. The visions of my past that came forward the negative emotions were now let go. There is a balance now I am feeling in my heart and my soul. I acknowledge that I can be angry and resentful as well as loving and compassionate. Hence my light and dark are all parts of me. Have I found my true self? Maybe there is more of me to find yet since I am on my journey and I am enjoying the trip!

Take three deep cleansing breaths and allow yourself to just be at peace.  Archangel Ariel is with you and desiring that you take her hand.  Her gentle lion is with her as this lion never leaves her side.  You do not fear this beautiful animal as he walks with you and Ariel out of your room to the outdoors.  You notice that the day is lovely with birds and butterflies flying around.  Off in the distance is an enclosed garden that you are wishing to explore.

As you walk to the garden, you see a large wrought iron gate which has carvings of fairies and butterflies decorating it.  Ariel and her faithful lion open the gates and ask you to walk through.  You are very excited to see all these luscious flowers, trees and bushes, and all of the fragrances tickle your nose.

Archangel Ariel escorts you to the center of the garden to a very large Banyan tree which has a massive trunk.  She tells you that this tree is the tree that provides fulfilment of wishes and other material gains.  It symbolizes Trimurti - Lord Vishnu is believed to be the bark, Lord Brahma the roots, and Lord Shiva the branches.  You have a knowing that you can now make a wish upon this magical tree.  Your wish has been given to the base of the tree for fulfillment.

After you make your wish, the lion nuzzles you to move away from the tree and follow him to the corner of the garden where there is a small pond with Koi fish.  The fish are happily swimming around and you notice there are gold, black and platinum ones.  The black fish stops and stares right at you and you then you hear all the fish telling you that this black Koi fish is your animal totem, letting you know that he is with you to bring about change in life circumstances.  You understand that each colored fish is unique in its own spiritual way and you thank this fish for being one of your guides.

As you wonder about this lovely garden you see visions of fairies frolicking about in the radiant sunbeams.  They are dancing, singing, and riding the dragon flies all about.  Such merriment in this garden has you skipping and humming a tune which causes all of your fears, doubts and worries that you had before coming into this garden to be forgotten.

You sway your body to the music and close your eyes and feel the vibrations of the trees, the flowers, the water swirling in the pond, and the insects and birds that are flying about.  As you open you eyes you spy a cute little gnome who is hiding under a large fern. You ask him to come out and join you in the dance with nature. The shy little gnome takes your hand and you dance around.  You feel something hard that he has placed in your hand and then he smiles and runs back to his fern and disappears.  You look in your hand and you see a golden coin, one that you have never seen before.  There is a picture of you on that coin and underneath the picture of you is a word: BELIEVE.

As Archangel Ariel and the lion guide you back through the gate and back into your room, you are thoughtful and smiling about the wonderful and peaceful time you just had and your new belief in this magic.  You thank Archangel Ariel and her faithful lion as you have been lead back into your room and then they leave.

Now open your eyes, take a few breaths and shake your body awake and remember that magical coin and BELIEVE IN YOU!

June's Musings

Recently I went to my dentist to have him take care of a molar that had broken and to receive a temporary crown.  While I was sitting in the dentist chair I was talking to his assistant Debby.  Debby and I talked about various types of healing methods used.  I was excited to find out that she too was “into” angels and crystals.   It is always enjoyable to talk about spiritual things with like-minded people!  As we were talking the dentist walked in and was listening to us talk about angels and the crystals.  He had a smile on his face when he greeted me and asked me how long I have been doing crystal healing.

As I was about to explain to him I saw a “floating” smiling face behind his right shoulder and I knew instantly that this was one of his guides.  I said to him, “gosh you are probably not going to believe me but I just saw an older gentlemen smiling behind you and I feel he is one of your guides.”  The dentist raised his eyes and said, “Who and what does he look like?” I said, “I feel that this gentlemen is your grandfather and he studied or had something to do with medicine. NO, actually I feel he had something to do with Eastern medicine?”  The dentist said, “oh my gosh that is my grandfather.  He passed about a year and a half ago and he did study eastern medicine.”  In fact the dentist proceeded to tell me all about this wonderful man and said that he was psychic and taught his grandson many things. Family members thought the grandfather was a “pyscho” and they called him that behind his back.  He did healing and was a very loving and kind man.

All the while that the dentist was working in my mouth, his guide was peeping over his grandson’s shoulder and smiling down at me.  I had to laugh since this was just so bizarre.  To be sitting in a dentist chair with a wad of cotton in my mouth, listening to the drill and have this sweet man smiling at me was like a dream!  He was looking quite pleased while watching his grandson’s work too!  Who ever heard of channeling and receiving divine messages while having one’s mouth worked on in a dentist chair?  I sure haven’t!

The dentist took the cotton out of my mouth and I said to him, “you still look worried, what is on your mind?”  He said that his father who was retired had injured his shoulder windsurfing and that the doctors said there was no cure, that there was no way to heal the sore muscle that was shrinking into a ball shape and was quite painful.  I then received another message from his grandfather for the dentist to go to his father’s house, lay his healing hands on his father’s left shoulder, while his grandfather, the guide, would put his healing hands on top of his grandson’s head so the divine light would come into the grandfather, then into his grandson, (the dentist) and then into his father’s injured muscle.  I was told that this would heal him.  All this time the assistant and the dentist were studying my face while I was speaking, saying that I was glowing.  I never knew one could glow as one receives messages from the Divine.

I will be going back to the dentist in three weeks for the permanent crown so I am curious as to what will happen next?  I am open to receive!!!  I thanked my angels for this wonderful message which was brought from his guide for the healing of the dentist’s father.  I am very grateful that I listened and was able to share this message without fear and doubt!

A Meditation

Please sit comfortably in your chair, your back straight, with your feet flat on the ground and close your eyes. Please take a deep breath and let it out slowly and repeat this two more times.

Your guardian angels are at your side and they desire to take you to a special place, so take their hand.

The angels walk with you on a cobblestone path leading to a bluff.

Your angels say for you to walk with them up the bluff, it is a blustery day on this day, the wind is whipping your hair into your face. You look up into the sky as you climb to the top of the bluff and you see a large bird soaring with the wind, this bird glides along and you see it is a beautiful eagle. You want to be this bird gliding in the sky and soaring to the highest of heights without anything holding you back. Flying and flying from dawn till dusk.

The angels direct you to climb down the bluff where there is a beautiful beach that has no one around.

As you climb down the sandy bluff, the eagle flies way above your head, and his mate joins him in his flight and they fly off together. You look down onto the beach and see that there are no foot prints and you think to yourself no one has ever been here before!

There is a log on the beach that had washed up on shore so you and your guardian angels decide to sit and watch the waves break on the beach.  You notice that even though it was blustery on the bluff, it is very peaceful and quiet on the beach. A bright colored object catches your eye as you scan the beach. You decide to walk towards this brightly colored object. As you walk and the waves gently swirl around your feet you come closer and closer to that object. The object is now by your feet so you bend down and pick it up. It is a coral colored shell and inside the shell is a small animal curled up in a ball. You smile and think oh this tiny animal has survived the ocean and landed on the shore.  You put the shell back onto the sand so the tiny animal can be at peace in his surroundings and you look towards the horizon. You see a small black tail splash in the water and you wonder if that is a whale. All of a sudden a large wave comes and two dolphins are riding the wave, the wave breaks and the dolphins swim to your side in the foamy water. They look right into your eyes and you hear their voices inside your head telling you to swim out with them. At first you hesitate and then you smile and say of course!!! At the next approaching wave you take their extended fin and swim with them to the horizon where you had seen the black tail of the whale. As you swim closer the dolphins are telling you that the mother whale wants you to save her baby calf from the net that is around her babies’ neck.  You wonder why me? The dolphins say because you are a healer and are needed. As you are swimming closer to the mother whale and her baby you see the distress they are both in. The baby is struggling and the mother is trying to calm her calf down. You take the net and ask for strength from all the animals and merpeople that have gathered around to help the calf be released from the confinements of the net. You find the strength in your hands and very gently you twist the net and stretch it till it rips in two pieces. The baby calf is joy filled and nuzzles you with her nose. The mother whale swims by your side and looks into your eyes and you hear in your head her loving thanks for saving her calf. All the sea animals are very thankful for your help in releasing the bondage around the calf’s neck. They tell you in all their musical voices that sings inside your head that you are very special and Mother Gaia is most grateful for YOU. The dolphins swim with you back to the shore where your guardian angels are waiting for you and they guide you back up the bluff. You find that you are not climbing as you had before but that you are gliding as your angels glide. The wind has stopped and all is silent as you make your way up the bluff, looking towards the sky you see the two eagles and they fly towards you, and they each give you one of their beautiful feathers. The guardian angels return you to your body, slowly open your eyes and slowly move your body awake and what do you find in your hand?

December’s Musings

I am sitting in my room, sipping my tea and looking out my window watching the pouring rain and feeling absolute joy. I welcome this rain and when the first rain drops started I ran outside to lift up my arms, let it drench me while doing my happy dance. I thanked God for our rain it is so beautiful to have this gift.

August's Musings

A few days ago my husband and I went to Big Bear Lake for a mini vacation. This area in the Los Angeles Mountains is very beautiful with its rugged looking mountains, tall evergreen pine trees and large rocks scattered all over the mountainside. Big Bear Lake is about 6,600 feet above sea level and the Summit is 8,700 feet above sea level so the air was thinner and so fresh to breathe in and out.

July's Musings

One day I was sitting in my quiet space, my sacred room listening to the angels whispering in my head. I had been pondering about my energy, my power center and being rather confused about this. I then received an answer from Archangel Raphael who I had addressed this question to. My question was, “How do I send my energy safely to another and is this healthy for myself and my client.”

June's Musing II

Have you ever “hit a brick wall” while on your path?  Recently, I have been experiencing many of these brick walls which are literally stopping me in my tracks. I have asked myself, “Why the brick walls just when I am going full speed ahead?”  My question is answered inside my head, “put the brakes on dear one.”  I then realize oh yes I am going too fast and it is time to slow down! There is something I am to learn here.

June's Musings

It has been a very warm week so I “had the knowing” to go to the beach and take a walk on this beautiful Friday afternoon.  As I drove into the parking lot, I was surprised to see how full the lot was, usually there is only a few cars parked here.  Luckily the angels “saved me a spot” so I pulled into it and parked my car and thanked them for this perfect parking spot!

May's Musings

I am so happy you have “stopped in” to read my musing.  Have you ever heard the quote, “April showers bring May flowers?” That is what is playing over and over again in my head as I sit at my computer, putting my “memories” down from the gardening day.  The sky is clouding right now and moisture is building in those clouds for a spring shower tonight. My vegetable garden is all planted thanks to the angels and the fairies. The “fey” played and made me laugh while I dug the holes in my garden. The tiny seedlings were planted and now the rain will “nourish” and then the sun will “grow” the plants. Soon we will an abundance of vegetables to eat.
